Medicare Supplement Policy | How It Works | GenHealthy.com

Applying for a GenHealthy Medicare Supplement policy

With our online application and quick approval process, it’s easy to get started with a Medicare Supplement policy from GenHealthy. Find your situation below, and we’ll walk you through how it works.

    • You can switch to a GenHealthy plan at any time!
    • If you choose the same plan type that you currently have, you’ll have all the same coverages, but can save up to 15% on your monthly premiums!
    • No matter what plan type you choose you can keep the same doctors.
    • Just be aware that when you change insurance companies, your application may be underwritten, which involves a review of your medical history. As a result, your premium may be affected or you may be denied coverage.
    • Complete the online application for a GenHealthy plan (takes about 10 minutes)
    • Receive your email notification of approval and instructions on next steps within two business days
    • If approved, review the new policy, pay your first monthly premium to activate it, and then contact your current insurer to cancel your old plan. (You should not cancel your plan until you have reviewed the GenHealthy policy and are sure you are keeping it.)
    • By law, Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans offer a standard set of benefits. At GenHealthy, our plans offer these same coverages at up to 15% savings on your monthly premiums. Compare our rates!
    • Coverage under a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan is limited to Medicare-eligible expenses. Benefits paid by Medicare will not be duplicated.
    • If you have Plan F now and choose our Plan G, you will receive the exact same coverage with your new GenHealthy plan.
    • If you choose a different GenHealthy plan, you can still keep your same doctors.
    • You can keep your current Part D prescription plan.
    • If you’re joining Medicare for the first time, you will want to apply for a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan during your Initial Enrollment Period.
    • This is generally a 7-month period that begins 3 months before the month of your 65th birthday.
During this period, you can purchase any Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan available in your area with no underwriting.
    • But first, you need to enroll in Original Medicare Parts A & B.

    • Excluding special circumstances, you can do so twice per year:

The Annual Election Period, from October 15 to December 7 (changes are effective on January 1)

      or

The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, from January 1 to March 31 (changes are effective on the first of the month following receipt of your request).
